This is getting a lot of flack online for how "old" Daria looks. Personally I absolutely love how rough this cover is. I've been vocal in the past in wishing that magazines would style Daria in something other than her tomboy style (glamour is good! ... in small doses) but this is something I can stand behind.

W Magazine September 2014 : Supernormal Supermodels

W Magazine has released a mega editorial for its September issue. "Supernormal Supermodels" is a 24 page spread (Daria has six images) photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot.

Its a fun shoot but it looks a lot like a mix pot of Bruce Weber and Alasdair McLellan's style of photography, which just makes me wish Bruce Weber actually shot this (like the legendary "Summer Camp" editorial in W's July 2008 issue). That shot of Daria, Amanda and Mariacarla (image 6) is amazing though.

W September 2014 Preview : Mert's Girls

If this isn't enough to get you excited about the September issues, then I don't know what is! Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott shot their favourite girls for a spread in the new fall issue of W Magazine and this is a little sneak peak ... looks to be the making of an epic editorial!

WSJ Magazine Fall 2014

Daria just shot an absolutely beautiful editorial for WSJ Magazine's fall issue. She also shot the cover, which I've posted before.

 

To be honest this is one of the best works I've seen Daria put out in the past few years. It's so different from her usual boho-beach-casual styling and I always welcome a change from that!

Daria has an interview with the mag as well - it's a quick read and Daria gives some insight onto why she took a break from modelling in 2008 ... and that she wants to flip the lens and be a photographer! Judging from her amazing Instagram I fully support this new venture.

Video : Equipment Fall 2014

In addition to directing, shooting and styling Equipment's Fall 2014 campaign, not to mention starring in, Daria was also given free reign over the French clothing brand's video campaign.

Daria teamed up with friend Kenny Jossick to shoot the campaign near her home in the Irish countryside. It's not the first time her home has been opened up to the public eye, but the personal touches in this video make this campaign much more interesting. Her dog Strawballz even makes a cameo!
