H&M New Year

Daria and H&M are back at it again with a new campaign for 2012! If you visit the H&M site Daria's image is the first thing that greets you! It's not clear what campaign this image is from but hopefully Daria fronts the spring 2012 campaign for H&M like she has done in the past! Campaign News : Balmain / H&M

These past two days have had as much news as the past two years! On the heels of her Vogue Paris cover and editorial, and Stefanel, Loewe, DSquared and Isabel Marant Daria has added another blue-chip campaign to her roster for the Spring Summer 2010 season ... Balmain! It seems that all of the rumors I was perpetuating in the past months have come to fruition. The new advertisement is in the February 2010 issue of W magazine - according to trevofashionisto member at tFS (thank you) it was "shot in a studio .. its meant to look like a jungle ... (Daria) is posing against a jeep". Vague details for now, but the styling seems on par with the rugged influences on the Spring Summer 2010 Balmain runway.

And yet, there is more - it seems that Daria will reprise her role as the face of H&M yet again. She has apparently nabbed the Spring Summer 2010 H&M campaign, as well as the jeans campaign. On a side note, all of the DSquared campaign ads have been released and they are in the SS10 gallery here.

So that is seven campaigns in one season, one Vogue Paris cover, a sixty page editorial and a partridge in a pear tree ... and  the February 2010 issue of Vogue US just came out!

H&M Launch Party

Last night in NYC, Daria attended the launch of the H&M by Matthew Williamson summer collection. It only makes sense as she is also the face of the campaign, pictures of which were posted before.

Let's forgive Daria for that sequined disaster of a dress and assume there was some clause in the contract where she had to wear a celestial tshirt to the event ... but even I can admit that she makes H&M look good.

Apart from the outfit Daria looked so cute and serene. And I love how she drinks champagne and lets the other people pose - definitely not a model off duty. You can see more pictures at patrickmcmullan.com, if you have an account, but I've uploaded a lot of pictures into this post.

Candid Shots

Here's a new candid shot of Daria. I don't know the event or place, but Daria is with designer Matthew Williamson so I'm assuming its the launch of the new H&M by Matthew Williamson collection. If anyone has more information please let me know!

And it was also confirmed that Daria is on the cover of the summer 2009 issue of V magazine. She is one of six covers.

Behind the Scenes of H&M Spring 2009

A video has been released on the H&M website, of the making of the Spring 2009 H&M by Matthew Williamson campaign. It looks like the collection is going for a psychedelic feel, which perfect for summer. There are five videos filmed promoting the new collection, two being released at the end of April, and the rest being released at the beginning of May. I added some great screencaps below, taken by the darialogist!

H&M Spring 2009

More pictures of the new H&M Spring 2009 campaign. As a commenter noticed Daria is rocking her inner Karate Kid. I'm starting to really like this set of pictures, but I think it's mostly due to the beautiful location. Enjoy!

H&M by Matthew Williamson Spring 2009 Campaign

The second campaign picture for H&M by Matthew Williamson has been released and I'm feeling a bit of deja vu. It looks similar to Inez & Vinoodh's previous work with Daria, including an old Vogue Paris editorial and her Spring 2009 Roberto Cavalli ads. However, the location is beautiful. I love the bright colours and anything to do with the beach. I hope they make a video for this campaign like the last couple of seasons!

V #59 Preview

Daria for H&M Summer 2009

According to glamurama.com, all of the top models (Gisele Bündchen, Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Elle Macpherson, Eva Herzigova, Natalia Vodianova, Carmen Kass, Daria Werbowy and Isabeli Fontana) will be in a "massive editorial of 45 pages about summer in V magazine ... [by] Mario Testino".

V magazine often does big powerhouse editorials with an agency's best girls - the last one that comes to mind was in V#53, aptly titled "Power House".

I'm not the biggest fan of Testino's work, but his recent work in Vogue UK was surprisingly good so hopefully he can carry on this streak!

H&M by Matthew Williamson : Daria by Solve Sundsbo

Looks like we finally have an image for Daria's latest campaign! This is the latest shot of Daria, by Solve Sundsbo, for H&M by Matthew Williamson. It actually reminds me of her editorial in Vogue Paris about a year ago and a combination of her recent Vogue Nippon editorial. Hopefully we'll be seeing more images soon!

Sneak Peek: Daria Werbowy for H&M Spring 2009

We have our first look at Daria's ad campaign for H&M by Matthew Williamson. The campaign can be seen in the April 2009 issue of Vogue Paris, and according to aliensexfriend at thefashionspot.com, Daria has

"2 pictures in [the] same outfit, but different poses, very similar to her last ed in Vogue Nippon April 'Uptown Girl'"

Hopefully we'll see scans soon - but this is a small preview on the left! Looks cool from what we can see so far.

Shadows

The H&M fall 2008 campaign video is out and can be seen at the H&M site, under the "film" page.

It's not as fascinating or beautiful as the other campaign videos (it would be hard to beat the Summer 2008 one), but it's still quite interesting. And can this girl pose or what? I'm pretty sure my neck would snap off if I attempted some of those hair flips ...

Back (Again) in Black

I went to H&M a few days ago and saw new billboards of Daria in the store. The full set of the H&M campaign has been posted online at the website. They are quite pretty but nothing too exciting, so I'll leave you with one of the better shots below.

H&M Fall 2008 Campaign

H&M Fall Winter 2008

It seems like that h&m picture of Lily Donaldson and Daria was a precursor to another one of her new campaigns. Here we have the first pictures from the H&M Fall Winter 2008 campaign which are quite good, nothing too groundbreaking. Which leads me the the thought ... H&M campaigns usually lead to accompanying videos and I've loved the past two, so who knows - maybe we will get to see Daria fine tuning her acting skills yet again!

H&M Fall Campaign? ... And the lemon tip, again!

A new picture from the H&M fall catalogue - perhaps Daria is the fall girl as well? As much as don't like Lily Donaldson's looks, this shot is very pretty on both of their behalves. The picture looks promising though, much better than the SS08 campaign.

And there is a new interview in a Finnish magazine. Nothing groundbreaking... but she gives the lemon tip again! :)

A Lost Supermodel
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing when the 22-year-old supermodel Daria Werbowy revealed that she doesn’t know whether she wants to work on the catwalk anymore. “I’ve changed and it’s time to give room for new girls. For the last three years I’ve been on top, but I’ve been modelling since I was 14.”

What will you do in the future?
I want to travel. I mean real backpack trips. I would also like to establish a café or a gallery, paint, design jewellery and sail. I just produced a film in Canada that my friend directed and wrote. Acting and directing interests me.

How do you take care of your skin?
I use eye cream in the morning and evening and a lot of moisturizer. Mascara and Juicy Tubes-lip gloss is enough for makeup. Here’s my grandmother’s tip: Squeeze lemon juice into a cotton pad and swipe your face with it. Wash off with warm water. It cleans the skin completely. I always use my grandmother’s recipe after fashion weeks. I make a peeling of lemon juice and sugar.

What is your favourite place?
Ireland. I did a car trip there last summer with a friend of mine. I love driving and like getting lost. If I have a bad day, I go for a ride.

What will you get for fall?
Marc Jacobs show was wonderful! Grunge is so chic. I want a big hat and strong, but natural eyebrows.
