The great thing from Vogue Nippon that almost makes up for their horrible photoshop is that they have a behind-the-scenes features on each of their covers. So we get to see Daria as Daria and best of all a candid!

Super Daria: Vogue Nippon January 2009

It's first cover of the new year! It's only November but Vogue Nippon releases their covers super early - so here is their January cover with Daria on the issue! She's fallen victim to that horrible G again (imagine how much better the cover would be without).

So far, everything's alright - it's a great start to the new year. I love the gaze - very strong

The Pirelli Calendar 2009

I've seen some of Peter Beard's work before - he's actually known for using his own blood in some of his images.

The shots in this calendar are very beautiful, some quite odd in the bunch, but for the most part I think it is quite impressive. In all of these I'd have to say Malgosia Bela and Daria (of course) are my two favourite girls. They both have a rugged beauty to them that perfectly suits Beard's aesthetic. I'd have to say that February and the first image for March are my favourite shots of Daria.

Today is the day ... 25 years ago Daria was born! Wow, 25 years old! I hope she doesn't have a quarter life crisis! But seriously, I hope Daria has a great birthday and to another great year! Happy Birthday Daria!

Flashback Friday : Holt Renfrew Winter 1999 Catalogue

Way back when Daria was just starting out in the business she appeared in a Holt Renfrew catalogue. 16 year old, yet she still has the maturity she dons in pictures today! All of the pictures can be seen here.

Forum Tufi Duek

Daria will be the face of Brazilian clothing brand Forum Tufi Duek, for the fall 2009 season. Daria is shooting the campaign in the beginning of December with photographer David Sims.

I've visited the website for the brand (here) and the current ad campaign is cute, nothing too interesting or special. It will be great though to see Daria working with a new brand. I'm curious to see how they'll portray her!
