Finally an editorial! This is Daria's latest work in Stylist magazine, in which we saw a
preview a few days ago. Daria was photographed for the cover and an editorial by Victor Demarchelier, son of photographer Patrick Demarchelier who Daria has had many chances to work with. Let's hope she continues to work with Victor because these are beautiful photos!
Bringing Sixties Back
Photographer : Victor Demarchelier
Makeup : Alex Babsky for Lancome
Hair : Nicholas Jurnjack
I've mentioned this before but I love what a different direction this is for Daria. We all know she can do the beach bum look very well but it can be quite boring when that's the only work she puts out. It's refreshing to see her channel her earlier predecessors like Twiggy! I think the Woodstock look is my favourite shot ... to live in the Sixties!
If you'd like to read the magazine the entire issue is
online, as is the Stylist's archives! Daria has a little blurb inside the article as well:
"The Sixties were a time of great change and liberation and our culture is going through a similar time right now. The fact this inspiring decade is having such a resurgence across fashion, beauty and the arts now forces us to think about why the great ideals of love and peace didn't prevail. Now we're learning from what worked and what didn't to creat a better future." - Daria Werbowy
