I Spy With My Little Eye ...

Something major! I don't want to get my readers hopes way too up, because this seems like the impossible, ... but when you haven't had Daria news in quite a while might as well! Old school fashion followers will have freaked at the news that 2004 Prada favourite Elise Crombez is the face of the Spring 2012 Prada fashion campaign. And now there are whispers that Daria will join her! Take a look at the picture below - doesn't it look like her nose poking out from the second billboard?


I really hope it is. Daria hasn't worked with Meisel in years and her Prada campaigns were the stuff of legend. This is supposedly Elise's comeback and wouldn't it be fitting to have her fashion BFF Daria along for the ride? After all, they were always photographed together when they were starting out. Some sources are saying that it could be Katryn Kruger, a Daria look-alike ... let's hope for the former (muaha)!

Daria =/= Prada

Don't be fooled by the latest rumours. Although it would be great to see Daria in another Prada campaign you will have to wait a little longer. News broke today that Angela Lindvall, Miranda Kerr, Valerija Kelava and Daria would star in the Fall/Winter 2010 Prada campaign. But it is Daria Strokous, not Werbowy, who will take the fourth spot. It only makes sense after Daria (Strokous ... this could get confusing) landed the May 2010 cover of Vogue Italia.

So although Werbowy fans are avid for another Meisel collaboration we'll have to wait some more. But to gloss over this dissapointing news, here is a look back at Daria's two Prada campaigns.

I'm procrastinating, and should really be working right now but ... I had to post these images I recently came across! Back when Daria was having her new girl moment (2005) she landed a Prada campaign, the holy grail of modeling. Not only was it Prada, but it was a perfume campaign as well, that produced one of my favourite fashion advertisements.

Daria reciting Thunder Perfect Mind while walking through various sites in Berlin is still memorable today, and I loved the austere and authentic elements of the video. What I love even more are these portraits taken by Briggite Lacombe, a photographer who documented the making of the Prada commercial. Enjoy!

New sets of pictures have been released from the 2004 filming of the Prada perfume ad. I loved the pictures and video that were released for this campaign so its so great to see some more behind the scenes pictures!
