Back (Again) in Black

I went to H&M a few days ago and saw new billboards of Daria in the store. The full set of the H&M campaign has been posted online at the website. They are quite pretty but nothing too exciting, so I'll leave you with one of the better shots below.

Jean Paul Gaultier Fall Winter 2008

The Jean Paul Gaultier ads we previewed so long ago are finally out! Out of all the three released, I really like the first one below. Personally, I have grown to love this campaign. Usually I prefer Daria in her tomboy role (as exemplified perfectly by the Isabel Marant fall campaign) but I love the JPG persona as well. The heightened composition and movement are very inspiring.

Fashion Magazine September 2008

I had a feeling this was coming... along with her charity work with Lancome and new walk of fame star this Fashion cover is fitting at the time. FASHION is a Canadian magazine and like most of Daria's previous issues with the magazine it will probably feature a photo shoot along with an interview. The cover is actually quite pretty (is it a surprise that Daria is in Versace? After all, she did make her runway return on the FW 2008 Versace runway.) The image is by Derek Kettela who has shot Daria quite often over the years, including her article in Glamour UK and Italy of this year.

I've also found this stunning picture on Derek's website - it flashes just before the sight opens. It reminds me of Irving Penn's work - not quite as striking but it is very sombre yet alive at the same time. Beautiful shot! I don't know if it's part of the Fashion article or not but I think it might have been a seperate shoot.

The Case of the Disappearing Nose

Just a few days ago we got news of Daria starring in another Lancome campaign and now we have our first preview of the campaign.

This campaign is for the Lancome Oscillation Mascara, a new wand that vibrates upon application. Yeah, I'm typically a "lipbalm as lipstick" kind of girl so I'm still kind of skeptical of the whole idea.

On the other hand if you want to lose weight try the new photoshop diet! Lancome manages to airbrush two pounds off of Daria's nose ... maybe the weight loss comes with the mascara?

Pictures from behind the scene were posted at tFS a few days ago - I'm sorry again for not being able to post them right away :( From the looks of these picturs it will be a very exciting campaign to look over. We'll just have to wait and see!
